Santiago High School is a high school located in Corona, California and is a member of the Corona-Norco Unified School District, serving grades 9 through 12. The school's athletic teams are known as the Sharks. This school runs on a block schedule such that students do not attend every class everyday. As of October 2011, students attend all six classes on Monday; periods one, three and five on Tuesday and Thursday, and periods two, four and six on Wednesday and Friday. Classes on Monday a roughly half the duration of classes the rest of the week. The school has a full athletic division, band, choir, color-guard, and video production team. Santiago has a student-run television program that airs once per month called "Shark TV". They offer many sports for both boys and girls including football, soccer, water polo, golf, volleyball, and many extracurricular activities.[1]
Santiago High School is represent by the school magazine, Shark Attack. The Editor and Chief of the magazine is Karina Stow, and the advisor to the class is Mrs. Bovie-Ware. The student who designed the website is Nikolas Stow, the younger brother of the Editor and Chief. Nikolas Stow also the founder of a small business that is quickly growing called The TechIt.
